At Powelton Presbyterian Church, our mission work focuses on supporting local charities and nonprofits that enhance the lives of Eastern Shore residents. Many in our community rely on the vital services provided by these organizations, and our church is blessed with a trust endowment that allows us to contribute to their efforts meaningfully.

Community

One of our key collaborative efforts is with the Eastern Shore Presbyterian Ministries (ESPM), an initiative created by the four Presbyterian churches on the Shore. ESPM organizes the annual purchase and distribution of school supplies to elementary schools across the region. This program has grown significantly over the years, thanks to the support of other churches and individuals, and it now serves as an important tradition for our congregation and community.

In addition to our work with ESPM, we are proud to support the following missions and outreach programs:

Eastern Shore Foodbank: Addressing hunger and food insecurity in our community.
One Great Hour of Sharing: Providing relief to those in need through disaster assistance, hunger relief, and self-development programs.
The Christmas Joy Fund: Bringing hope and resources to individuals and families during the holiday season.
Back to School Supplies: Ensuring local students have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.
Disaster Relief: Supporting efforts to rebuild and restore communities affected by natural disasters.
Missionary in Poland: Partnering with Rick Irons to support missionary work and share the message of faith abroad.
